Thoughts on Ryan Fredericks.
How do the great West Ham supporters feel about this bloke.

He’s pace is obviously bloody brilliant and he looked ok against Liverpool IMO. He’s passing wasn’t great but I really hope it works out for him.

Thoughts you miserable wankers?

Just seen an article on Ben Johnson (not the doped sprinter)

Doesn't look the finished article but at 26 he should be. Always seems to lack confidence. Maybe a run of games could help. Needs improve his passing for sure. Good speed but often is using it to recover

"Lad"?

He is 26 years of age!

I do not have any strong view of the man just yet. It is up to him.

He had a good game against Liverpool, needs to put in that kind of performance for the rest of the season.

Would like to see him get a run of games now. With Antonio also down the right, there’s pace to burn going forward.

But let’s hope he can defend first.

Yeah there is a concern that come next season we'll be talking about him in similar terms that we do with Arthur now.

Has all the attributes to be a good wing back
Not so sure as a full back, defensive positioning is suspect for starters, we shall see and good luck to the lad

The next Tim Breacker.

If we are lucky.

Re: Thoughts on Ryan Fredericks.
Fulham fans were fairly unanimous in their verdict that he wasn't great defensively but often his pace got him out of trouble.

Hopefully Zab has mentored him a bit on that side of his game and he's improved a bit.

Re: Thoughts on Ryan Fredericks.
He bottled in previous games. If he had grandads confidence he would be world class. He had a good game but still showed that hint of "I shouldnt really be here" mentality. He needs to have more confidence in his ability clearly a very good player. Fastest I've seen for a while

He was about the only positive in the shit fest served up at Wimbledon. Hope he continues to improve each game, bound to be rusty after the lay off.

My heart aches, and a drowsy numbness pains
My sense, as though of hemlock I had drunk,
Or emptied some dull opiate to the drains
One minute past, and Lethe-wards had sunk:
'Tis not through envy of thy happy lot,
But being too happy in thine happiness,—
That thou, light-footed Dryad of the right
                        In some melodious plot
Of verdant green, and runners numberless,
tackles the wingers in full-throated might.

Apologies to John Keats

Probably his best game so far for us against Liverpool. Rubbish passer of a ball though

Texas Iron judging Fredericks on one tackle that went array.

Idiot.

Re: Thoughts on Ryan Fredericks.
Quick...but impulsive and needs to control his tackles ...impulsive lunges/fouls will get him frequent yellows...
Better crosses needed...

Re: Thoughts on Ryan Fredericks.
Vexed,

I remember seeing that, it was odd.

I think we can put it down to over exuberance at being out for so long and wanting to impress. Hopefully with a few more games under his belt, he'll be very good for us.

In certain games, I can see him and Antonio being quite good together, as they can take turns defending and attacking, down the right - as long they both remember to not bomb forward at the same time!!

Re: Thoughts on Ryan Fredericks.
Still looks a bit raw, one point against the bin dippers he went steaming up the pitch to win the ball back but missed his tackle by about three yards. It was odd.
